Walking with others during times of sorrow and joy

Walking with others during times of sorrow and joy
Peer counseling is a relationship built on mutuality, trust, and shared lived experience. In our sessions, we come together to share our stories, offering each other understanding, encouragement, and hope. This space is dedicated to exploring the real possibilities of recovery while living with mental illness—and discovering what it means to thrive, not just survive.
As an ordained minister, I work closely with couples to co-create a ceremony that reflects their unique relationship, values, and vision for their special day. Whether traditional, spiritual, or entirely custom, I bring warmth, presence, and joy to officiating each union, making your wedding ceremony a heartfelt and memorable experience.
Planning a meaningful ceremony or navigating a tough time?
As a Certified Peer Support Specialist in North Carolina and an Ordained Minister, I bring both lived experience and spiritual care to the heart of my work. Having personally navigated life with mental illness, I understand the challenges—and the profound possibilities—of recovery, stability, and living fully. My mission is to walk alongside others on their journey, offering empathy, guidance, and hope rooted in real-life experience.
As a minister, I have had the honor of celebrating some of life’s most joyful moments with couples. I work closely with each pair to design a meaningful ceremony that reflects their unique love story, while bringing my own grounded ministerial presence to create a warm, intimate, and memorable day.
"Adele was a great officiant for my wedding! She was professional and kind, and helped make everything go smoothly. She met with us before the wedding date to get to know both my husband and me together, and she asked questions to know how we wanted the wedding to be officiated. She got some personal insights from us so she could work that into the wedding, too. Adele was a very big part of our big day, and we are so thankful she was there to help us make it happen!"
"I've known Adele for many years, so naturally she was the first and only person I asked to officiate mine and my husband's wedding. She allowed us to have a lot of input in the ceremony. I didn't want traditional verbiage in my ceremony and she was happy to find a middle ground that she and I were both comfortable with. We were happy to have her overseeing such a special moment for us, there's no one else that I would have trusted with such an important role in our big day."
"I am fortunate to have met Adele several years ago in my regular interactions with her as a support colleague and friend. I have come to truly appreciate and rely on her genuine-hearted, matter of fact, and principled nature. She listens patiently and attentively, without judgement. Overall, one of the things I most respect about Adele is her enduring focus on serving and accepting humanity in all its varied and colorful forms."
Whether you're looking for support, planning a ceremony, or just have questions, I'm here to listen.
